My favorite animals are cats, specifically local cats, animals that are deeply rooted in diverse cultures, worshiped by the Egyptians, associated with witchcraft by some European peoples, and Asian cultures are not far behind. In Japan, the Maneki Neko, a popular sculpture "lucky " cat-shaped coin holder and a rattle and it is believed that by moving your left leg back and forth can bring security on the home if it is green, luck in business if it is white, if you fulfill your dreams blue, red, success in love, gold help your economy, in black drive away bad luck (ironic huh?) and pink enables you to find the right person with whom to marry.
There are of all sizes and is very common to see near the entrance of many stores and some homes in Japan, originally made of ceramic or porcelain but currently there are already electronic and battery powered models to make the cat move your leg.
We could not ensure that the Maneki Neko can intercede for us in some way (and then see that some cats are treacherous means) but what is obvious is that the image of this cat is deeply rooted in Japanese culture, including anime , having been inspired by him some characters like the cat Kitty, Doraemon, and Meowth of Pokemon.
Do you believe in that kind of amulets?
I like this character.
