Bandai Entertainment acquires Star Driver

The recently concluded Star Driver (Silau Man, whose final episode was seen on 3 April) animated series produced by Studio Bones and Aniplex, has just been acquired for distribution in North America by Bandai Entertainment.

The story revolves around Takuto Tsunashi, an energetic boy who comes to an island to enroll in school. He quickly befriends Sugata Shindo and his fiancée, Agemaki Wako, who are children of two of the traditional families of the island. After starting his school life, we see that Takuto arrived to find his father, whom do not know. Their plans change when he meets with Bright Star organization, which plans to use robots that live underground secrets to remove the seals that prevent them from using these locks in the real world.

Takuto then reveals itself as one of the few that still retain the right to fly the giant mechanical, and used specifically to oppose Tauburn Shining Star.

The series was directed by Takuya Igarashi (Utena, Mushishi) and spread over 25 chapters.
